Tokico Struts and Neuspeed Race???
i just bought neuspeed race springs, and i found a guy on here that has brand new tokico hp blue struts for $275 and i can pick them up, will the drop of neuspeed race 2.25 front, 2.5 rear, hold up on tokico hp blue struts, im hearing mixed reviews, some people are saying its ok to do, the struts will do fine, and some people are telling me they will last a month and the tokicos will blow...?
will the tokicos work or should i save up and get koni yellows?
thanks
i need some help asap boilmaker1

I have that same set up my struts lasted like 9months depends on how you drive but the best thing about tokico is that they have lifetime warranty so they sent me a set for free which they will be getting installed tomorrow
but I will go with the konis

irockcivic, so they didnt ask you how low you had your car or anything? you jsut got a brand new set for free?
and will the d-spec hold up wiht the race spring, i dont want to purchase struts because im not plentiful with money, im in high school, so saving up $500 for struts is a big purchase, i dont want to buy something and it ends up not holding up and blowing...

ok, update, i went to my local shop and my friend there told me that if i buy them there for $355, i get hte warranty, and he had em on his turbo hatch and blew them 8 times, but always got new ones, they dont limit how much u lower them, and they were a great ride, so im gonna get htem from him there once one of my stock struts blow, and i installed the front springs today, im very happy with hte drop on the front, cant wait til thrusday to install the rear, i have to work tommorow so itl have to wait til thrusday, i have one finger gap and theyhavent settled yet, how long does it usually take these springs or any spring for that matter to settle?
thanks

Don't get the Tokico's... plain and simple. Who cares if they come with a lifetime warranty... If you blow them every 8 months are you really going to keep chaning them out? That's a pain in the ***... are you going to do it yourself or get a shop to charge you each and everytime?

i wouldn't go with the race and tokicos. the drop is too low for the tokicos to handle.
there, now i contributed to your thread - and i can semi jack it
R1STYLE - are those 18s in your sig pic? in the mod list in your sig it says 18s and neuspeed race. im on 18s and neuspeed sports/tokico blues and mine looks way lower - my rear is tucking. what am i doing wrong!! do you have any rubbing issues when you go around turns (body leans) how come yours doesnt tuck at all??

yah...1 sub, 2 amps, and a custom trunk set up (similar to diskreets DIY trunk). i guess.....yur right, eh?
i still get rubbing issues in the front though! when i take a turn anything faster than your grandma would take it....the front rubs on the side its leaning toward. i just need to raise the bitsh back up a bit.

wether or not that guy (02blackcivic) sticks with the tocikos, it is safe to say that koni yellows are the best bet for a neuspeed race drop correct? i have Neuspeed races and I don't like the idea of changing a warrentied shock every 8 months. I mean "I could take a look at a t-bone by sticking my head up a bull's ***"(hehe, I love Tommy Boy), but I'd rather take you 'SMART/INFORMED' 7thgencivic.com member's advice than get a warrentied piece of crap

i have neuspeed race with the tokico d spec and it works fine! no problems at all. i read somewhere that if you decide to go with the race springs and the blues. its not ment to be driven hard. just regular normal point a - b driving and you will be alright. i dunno thats what i've read.
Okay this is the most mixed up thread on the forum, lol. I was hoping this would answer my question too but it has yet to do so.
I have Neuspeed Race springs. I am looking into Tokico D-Spec struts as well to be installed this coming Spring. Would you guys recommend this set-up. (If you have this set-up already, how long have you had it this way on your car)
If not (or even if so), what other struts out there can handle a low drop (greater than 2")..
