Help Please...!

Okay, I am seriously frustrated at this point. I order a pair of front Koni Yellows for my 2004 Civic EX Coupe from Robear Racing. They sent me the 50 mm the first time. So i had to pay 60 bucks and ship it back to them so they can send me the right ones. Then now they have sent me the right ones. But when i use a calliper to measure the Koni, it still measures 50mm. But this shock seems larger than the ones they sent me before. So my question is, does the size of the actual Konis matter, or just your actual strut housing? Help would be greatly appreciated, thank you.

There are these little "nubs" near the top of the koni's shock body. they are what centers and "jams" the damper in to the oem housing. as long as they stick out far enough, you'll be fine

But when i measure the strut housing with the calliper it reads 55mm, and when i measured the Koni it read 50mm. So i don't think the housing is 5mm thick. Thanks for your reply. More help would be greatly appreciated.

I think you mis understand. The majority of the koni's body (the part painted yellow) doesn't acutally hug the walls of the OEM struts.

Instead it has a bolt on the bottom to hold the thing in, and 3-4 "nubs" near the top of the Body that jam them selves in against the oem housings walls. So it would be reasonalbe to find that the Konis outer diamiter is 50mm, where as each of those "nubs" extend out from that a few more mm to fill in the gap and hold the koni in the center of the OEM housing.

The housing is 2+1/2mm thick.

5mm % 2 sides
