its only on the front shocks, and its the two holes where everything connects together, the knuckle, at the bottom of the front struts.

i suppose the biggest problems you'll have (assuming you're mechanically inclined) is getting holes to align so you can put bolts back in. other than that i would say it takes lots of time for your first install. have fun.

tie rod was pretty easy for me, i was all scared of yeah fcking it up, but i just used a rubber mallet and lightly taped it out. to me the one part that is crutial is having the absolute correct hex key. i ended up stripping one of the top part haha, but luckly it wasnt screwed up too bad. other than that...i'd say it was hard getting the strut back (which really wasnt that bad.) just that i was doing it solo and it got heavy..... :\

im not really a total beginner, i pretty much do everything else myself but this is the first time ever dropping a car.

I didn't cut mine at all - I knew I was going to have rubbing issues. I have yet to cut, I've had the springs installed for two weeks. I haven't noticed any detrimental effects, but I'm taking everything out and re-doing it, and I will be cutting the bumpstops in half at that time.
