pains of a lowered car
pains of a lowered car
I have a question for you guys that is off the wall. How do you guys deal with the pains of having a lowered car? I mean dont get me wrong I love having my car lowered cause of the look, and everything. so you dont have to say if you dont like it change it and all that jazz. I just mean like the fact that its so hard to get in and out of places sometimes, speedbumps scare me everytime. I cant park places or take my places sometimes cause I dont want to leave my exhaust or sideskirts laying on the ground. So sometimes its just a pain to have it lowered. I was just wondering what you guys told yourselves to keep yourself siked about it?? Thanks, realitycheck
Everytime I get props for such a low car... That makes me feel warm and cozy inside about having such a pain in the *** habit lol. Besides I never really complain about it, it's only when my girlfriend bitches about going sooo slooow over speedbumps!
well yeah i know that, I got the neuspeed front strut bar, konig blues, and just got my progress rear sway bar. Me and my girl took an on ramp at 85 the other day, LOL. It was great. I had a speed bump this weekend i bottomed out on. I always go sideways, been doing that for 2 years now. sometimes they're just too big though. That and the fact i had a guy that is over 200 in the passenger seat, and the tanabe hangs so low. Anyway too fix the tanabe hanging that low?
I dont know I guess it just gets annoying sometimes having too always deal with it, and I keep telling myself i have to sacrifice for the look and feel I want. It just becomes annoying sometimes I guess.
also there was no sweetspot on this one, it went all the way to the curb. stupid speedbumps.

well, i just did a rsx rear sway install, right after my drop last week. it was kind of a pain but not really. i watch for bumps everywhere in the roads now. but i did that when i wasn't dropped to protect the car. just be careful. don't do the obvious 5 foot jump over a speed hump. not bump, hump. lol. the big one!

Thanks hondakorn, I forgot to put that im lowered on eibach sportlines. I love them things. Im better now, I just had to get that out of my system. I went to get my alignment done this morning, and an older gentleman. Said to me thats a bad little car. I told him thanks, and i let go of all the pains i was feeling.

I just lowered mine a week ago. I'm still in the adjustment period of not going so fast pulling out of parking lots with steep slopes, and slowing down over speed bumps. I haven't bottomed out yet, but I'm sure I will eventually.
I tell myself that it's worth it for the looks. And the props. Props are always good....

One of my friends here has a 2002 Civic EX lowered 3 inches...We tried pulling it into a shop that sloped down maybe 2 inches, and it bottomed out hardcore. I couldn't stand being THAT low...
Having the car lowered looks great, but i couldnt stand having to drive retarded around speed bumps and driveways. I had my teins raised up half an inch and i have no problems, car still handels great.
