A few pics from my Tein install
A few pics from my Tein install
I didn't take as many pictures as I planned to, but here's a few from inside my father in law's awesome garage with lift where we put my springs on.
Tein S-techs. Approx 2" drop.
Taking apart the rear struts

Rear is complete

Turned the car around to get better access to the front.

All finished. Just needed to torque down the strut bar and go get it aligned.

To be updated with pic of the car in daylight showing the drop after it settled.

I know it is an Eagle Lift. I'll check and see how much it cost.
It's funny because he has two mini coopers and he will park his on the lift, raise it and then park the other one below it.

TEIN tends to sag more on a sedan in the rear.
It's amazing to me how different the color looks on a sunny day and then a cloudy day. Nope, no snow here. Hell, I gotta mow my lawn this weekend! =)
The rear looks slightly lower than the front. Not much though.

Lift
Finally remembered to check on the lift price.
Here's the Eagle site. He has one of the lifts on this page, I'm not sure which one. They start at $2500. I believe he installed it himself.

They will wear out eventually, they are out of the range they were designed for.
Nice drop though
Well when/if they blow I will be getting Tokico blues. But I'm going to see how they are. Everything seems great now. The ride is even smoother than stock.
I picked up the springs for like $90 on Ebay.
Edit: I made an animation in photoshop that shows the drop between the two pics. I superimposed the car over itself. I was pretty close taking two pics in the same exact place. =) You can really see the difference.
