Finally, its right
Finally, its right
Ok guys I got my progress sway bar flipped over, and put on right. After I put it on upside down, like a dummy. Anyway, it works great now. My end links are almost straight. Only one problem, the sway bar is pushing my tanabe exhaust up a little bit and making it touch my kaminari rear lip. Anyway you guys know of too fix this. I have the adjustments pushed all the way down where the sway bar attaches to tie bar. Any other ideas?

the way it sits. when my exhaust was installed, the tip was pushing against the bumper so the shop guy said he bent the hangers where they sit and now its lower.

I had the same problem. But what I did was fix it my self. I would say do the same but i warn you that I am not too low and the lower you go the worse this problem is! I went to a local import shop and bought polyurathane exhaust hangers....I believe they are made by cusco. These flex a whole bunch less than the oem crapo rubber. I then took a very trusty ball pene hammer and massaged the exhaust just a bit so I got the axel back to clear without harming it. Now it is fine not bother since. Btw when you just pull up on the hangers in the back it will put pressure on all the other sxhuast components. Too bad you are not in sac or you could see how I did mine and or get some help.

LOL I feel ya on that one and I drove it around for a week sounding like *** to change my mind. I paid 280 just for the axel back and now it has a clearence area in it lol. You can always try the stiffer mounts and see if it helps like I say it depends on your setup. When mine car was in a rested postition the exhaust pipe was on the sway bar. The mounts when installed raised the whole system a slight amount which gave me some room but it was not enough. Either way good luck.
I got too looking and its not actually touching the lip. Its about a millimeter away from it. But its not right on it. The only thing it before it wasnt making that rattling noise. Well now it is. So....... I dont know what to do about it. Im going to look at the suggestions gearbox and cg gave too me. See what comes from that. The only other thing I know to do is weld in a new piece of pipe, that bends around it. I really dont want to cut my tanabe though.

i had the same problem but it was custom piping, i had a shop add a small piece to raise it above the sway bar in the rear, now drives great.
^^^doubt ull do that with ur exhaust, why cut a 800 dollar exhaust, but good luck with it

Well I weld, but I have never done stainless. I have a friend though that has been welding for about 35 years. And even does tig, he would be my last resort to cut it and get it redone. If it comes too that, I may just leave it alone and crank up the radio. Or put some rubber hose around the sway bar.
