Alright well did the reinstall.. On the red highlighted area there are 2 pieces... the one on the top (which is a light gold color) and the one below it which is a darker color gold (this can be seen in the picture)
The light gold color (the piece on top) thats highlighted red.. is one piece with the blue upper strut mount
So the only thing That I would be able to take off is the darker color gold piece under the light gold piece (highlighted in red by Axxe)...
I still the the upper strut mount from the 02... What do I have to do .. change to an 01? or what... im about to give up and throw these coilovers in the garbage... just kidding! butt its annoying me
any suggestions anyone?
4 inches? dayum... I light the drop on mine now.. its just not photgenic with this drop though! (low angle shots look like crap)
and I dont know.. i might just end up buying tein pillow mounts see if that solves the problem (thats if i can get them seperately that is)

damn... ive been searching right now and still can find it... whats the website where you can order the OEM mount and bearings ... and it will show you the diagram/picture of the suspesion assembly?

well I came to a conclusion...
I am going to buy 01 mount and bearings for my car...
the mount and bearing on my car looks like the one on the right (with the extra lip hanging from the mount)
And I have the gold rings
So maybe thats the problem.
The coilovers go in just fine and make no noise at all with the mount and bearing I have now (which looks like the ones on the right, if you look at the pictures i posted)... just cant get a low not even semi- low drop

Werid, my friend with an 02 got the gold upper mounts and his worktwith no problem.... lol
mine work with no problem.. but it seems like the car is only dropped 2 inches...
so the solution would be what axxe said either get the green rings... or buy the 01 upper mount and bearing... which Is what I will be doing because they are on order already... ill keep you guys updated let you know if this fixes it...

Rep Power: 321 bhoy, he needs help with his Teins, not you telling him your car is way lower, you don't have Teins so why buty in? Makes me mad when people do this sorry not trying to be mean.
But for your question, i have an 02 also with upperpillow ball mounts and i have at least 8 more threads to go down, i can tuck the fronts and dump the backs. Just doesn't make sense that you can't do the same.

Thanks for the response... what kind of upperpillow ball mounts are you using? the TEIN ones? Well the 01 upper mounts and bearings should be comming in later this week... and ANOTHER reinstall saturday....

Rep Power: 321 Yea i have the 01 upper mounts and bearings. I'm gonna slam mine with the new shoes come in, i'm gonna tuck a little bit of tire, there is no reason why you shouldn't, this is weird they are giving you this much trouble. keep us updated.
