what is an "o-ring" ?

when i thought i was done needing everything to install my koni yellows on my skunk2 coilovers, someone brought up that i needed "o-rings" to make the konis fit.

can anyone enlighten me on what the o-ring exactly is? its 2003 civic ex with skunk2 sleeved coilovers.

Its the elastometric ring that goes between the strut housing and the sleeve that keeps the sleeve in place on the strut.
