Stock EM2 01 uppermounts VS EP3 uppermounts

I'm putting in ep3 stock shock/struts in my EM 01 I was wondering if the upper mounts are the same or do I have to use the EM mounts on the EM shock body with EM springs...

Boilermaker1 is a splendid one to behold

I'm pretty sure they're dimensionally the same. The EP3 shocks go in fine, but why youd swap in another set of factory **** shocks is beyond me. Don't use EP3 springs.

SHouldn't the EP shocks be at least better than the 01 lx crap... I got a set of brand new ep shocks for $20 thats why.. no need to spend more money

If your current shocks/springs are still good, I wouldn't go through the trouble of swapping them out for the EP3 ones. Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but the spring height/rates might be different, and might not go well with our car.

I'm using EM springs on the EP strut. I know the rear is way to high when the stock ep3 springs are used. I'm using em springs hopefully it'll work. Does anyone know if the travel for the struts the same?
