Help going back to stock springs

I just bought a 2001 Civic Ex coupe and the previous owner put ground control adjustable spring setup on it. It appears he put this on over the stock struts and shocks. Do I need anything else to retain the upper part of the springs when going back to stock springs?

fyi, shock and strut is the same thing.

Chances are if they put coilovers on stock struts your going to need new struts. Stock struts suck and are not designed to handle any kind of drop. Check for oil leaking from the strut or any kind of caked on dirt. If they are clean then you might be ok, but if you plan on changing the springs then take the time and put on a nice set of struts anyway.

No they're not.

If there were GCs on stockers, you're gonna need to replace them. Just pick up a set of Tokicos for the $350 or whatever they are. You'll also need the stock upper spring seats.

Difference between a shock and a strut is you cant remove a strut from a vehicle with out the car becoming undriveable. And most cases a shock can be removed and the car is still driveable. A strut is a structual part of the suspension and or steering USUALLY!
