drop on springs before shock replacement?

is it a good idea, or even safe, for me to drop my 05 2dr civic (18" wheels) on Neuspeed Sport Springs (1.75" front, 1.5" rear) with stock shocks until I get the money to replace the stock shocks with koni yellows?

Reader's Digest: Will I be ok driving with a drop for about 2 months before I replace my shocks with aftermarket?

thanks guys

Its pointless. Yes it can be done, but why do the job twice. Just wait 2 months and do it all together.

Just Get Everything You Need And Do One Single Drop, Instead Of Wasting Money And Time. Trust Me It Can Get Pretty Expensive.

Do it all at once or not at all. I had to wait a while to drop my old Corolla, but I saved till I had all the aparts and could do it right.

There is NOTHING wrong with dropping on stock struts as long as they are in good condition. For some reason people think that aftermarket struts and shock are the end all of struts going bad after drops. And have NO clue what they are talking about. If you have the money, sure do it while they are apart. This will enhance the handling of the car, but it WONT keep the struts from failing ! Sturts will fail, stock, aftermarket, raised, or slamed.....makes no difference!
