How Do I Know When My Shocks Are Blown?

My front passenger shock sounds like its blown. I am not for sure though. It hits harder than all the rest, and there is a squeaking noise when I have my foot on the gas, and I have no clue what that is, or if it is even associated with the shock. When I go over a hole, or crack, something makes a loud squeaking noise and I need to know what it is. Thanks in advance for any and all remarks.

yeah, pro'ly ****ed. if you have alot of vibrations or general loss of comfort on one side over another, it's pro'ly blown. My passenger side is blown and I can tell you, it's embarrasing in front of the ladies! **** sounds like it's about to fall apart every second
