popping noise

popping noise
ok so once i lowered my car I started to have popping problems and now it just got worse. everyone said it was the axles, i rebuilt the axles and still the popping noise, it seems as if it got worse once i rebuilt my axles. could this problem be due to the shock assembly tearing up cause i just checked my shocks also and the mounts seem pretty beat..
