Blown Struts? Speed bump question

Hey I have a question...
I've noticed that whenever I drive over speed bumps, my back end really kicks up (to the extent that anything in the trunk jumps).

Recently, due to my car accident I was driving a Ford Taurus and noticed that I could go over the same speed bumps at ~ 5-10mph and feel almost nothing; whereas in the civic, i crawl over them at ~1-3mph.

I drive a 2002 Coupe... do you think my struts are blown, or are our civics so light that there isn't really anything that can be done about the hopping of the backend?

I have the same problem.... I'm also wondering the same thing. The rears are really bad when going over the speed humps. Is this normal or blown??

Most of it is because the *** end weighs next to nothing.
I've had 3 suspensions, they've all bounced hard over speed bumps.

Bah, I figured this was kinda normal.. This has been going on ever since I got the car. All i have in the trunk is my spare tire and a breaker bar. No system, no nothing.

even with my box/amp layout, i have the same problem. I don't know what to think either, since when i was on my stock suspension, both my rear shocks blew, and im pretty sure it was because they were subject to such violent movement.

yes i have an 05, i have the eibach prokit srings on it though, i dont know whether your talking about stock springs or what. i didnt hit any speebumps with the stock srpings on... i took the car straiight home and madly modded it. but my system flies around in the truck at like 1 mph over a speed bump.

Yeah, my rear bounces like crazy over speed bumps since the day i drove it home from the dealer. I took it back and they say its normal. But I think the rear is just underdamped. I have noticed that driving over the speed bumps very fast will eliminate the bouncing problem because the shocks rebound so fast.
