Megan vs Tein?

Hey guys. I don't pretend to know much about the different manufacturers, ie which are better for what product, so I want your opinions. I've found a few coilover kits for our civics, and I was wondering what you guys think is "best" for an agressive/spirited daily driver. Here are some links:

Megan Racing Adjustable Coilovers

Tein Basic Coilovers

Also, if you have experience with others (Koni, etc,), feel free to post your thoughts.

Thanks in advance.

In terms of quality, Tein has a better reputation. I haven't heard much bad about megan. Megan will allow more adjustability, if you know how to use it.

The biggest question here is whats the difference in dampers.... and so far, megan hasnt released enough info on the dampers they use to make the proper compairison between them and their compeditors...

We have some usefull info on the Tein dampers, such as they adjust both bump and rebound at the same time, but I've never seen a shock dyno of either.

Personaly I see both as being questionable simply because there isnt enough released information regarding them to make an educated decision. There are plenty of Reviews from people who drive on the street with them, but theres no quantitative data to determin which one would best suit your needs.

Absolutely. I figure though, for the street, build quality aside, if the dampers feel good and you can control the car well, then you don't really need numbers. I love my Megans, they feel great and I haven't had to do any major tweaking. I've ridden in and driven Tein-SS-equipped cars too, and the handling and comfort are at least just as good. If I'd had the money I would have gotten the more tried-and-tested Teins, but even though I went with the Megans expecting a "budget solution" I am still of the opinion that I got hell of a steal holding my baby up off the ground.

Megans are "fully adjustable" meaning height is adjusted separately from spring load, allowing full shock travel even when lowered. This is a big advantage over Tein SS. Still, Megans are a new entry so many like me are waiting for long term evals. So far, though, they do appear to be equal if not superior to Tein SS, for the above reason. If I had buy now I'd go Megans. Otherwise, wait for more reviews and technical info, like Zzyzx the master suggests.

Yep, I've only had my Megs for a month or so, let's see how they handle the rest of the season then the stress associated with a Canadian winter's salt, sand, and ice.

On a related note, people who keep pming me about the Megans:
I've already posted my opinion, pictures, and description. Why are people asking me "So what do you REALLY think" and "Did the kit REALLY come complete"?
