drop springs on a hybrid

I ordered drop srings for my fathers hybrid yesterday, he had me order 15 inch wheels and 50 series tires for it last week. It actually looks much better with just the wheels. He is 65 and tells me he doesnt like the wheel gap, so now he wants to lower it. Has any one else on here done this or know someone that has?

i don't think altering the hybrid is a good idea. you buy the hybrid for one purpose, modifying it might take away from its original design. just m/o

i told him the same thing, he just wants to keep all the stock parts. I think he is doing this to keep from buying an rx8 or 350 z, with gas costs hes to cheap to part with the hybrid.

I wouldn't be dropping a hybrid. The *** weighs considerably more than the standard sedan which already suffers from *** sag. No lowering spring is going to cooperate with that. Honestly, I'd leave the suspension in it alone unless you plan on getting ground control to rig you up something custom to handle the weight.
