I was suprised. My friend with a 9 ex just bought some used tokico HPs and dropzone COILOVERS. I expected the ride to be a little bouncy. I didnt know what to expect with those coilovers, other than crap. I was wrong. His car handles quite nicely, way way better than stock. Im sure the tokicos help out. We installed all that about 1.5-2 weeks ago. His car has a suprisingly nice feel to it.
I have Goldline/Tokico HPs, ingalls front, spc rear camber kit. I didnt want crap when I bought my ****. But suprisingly, the dropzone handled better than I woulda thought, plus they were used.

Only a little over an hour of labor. His car musta been a lot easier, even though it looks the same as the 7thgens. Maybe cuz we had a few peple helping. I was like, you do this, you do that, I do this, and you help me with this. We busted it out so fast. I thought wed be done about 2 or 3 am, we were done by 10:30pm.

when did i say you have to "waste" $1100 on tein SS? First and foremost, all i said was "how about you get some real springs and a camber kit?"
let me spell this out for you...
your springs/coilover combination sucks (using springs up front, coils in the rear must work wonders on your handling)
and furthermore...anyone willing to spend $400 on shocks and springs should have the sense to purchase a camber kit to A) correct alignment B)lower correctly and C)reduce camber wear.
As a matter of fact, i never told you to go with Tein SS. I recall recommending Basic's to you, and that was only because you asked for my opinion in the first place.

you want me to keep my negative comments to myself? are you kidding me? you're probably the one person in the shop i can count on to talk **** about anything and everything. AND you take pride in it, (im not saying it's a bad thing, i think we've all started to pick it up based on the work we have to do) and you cant deny that
edit: and i like you can lash out at me after I've helped you in the past due to a statement i made without any disrespect...yet Rob can say "who gives a rats ***.." and it doesnt phase you because he helps you this once...
Is it that I think I know too much? or is it that I've helped you too much? I thought we were better than that rookie.

Install went great. Had a few snags, but nothing major. Whew! Rides so much better. He will be getting a camber kit, but what he really needs is new tires. Those nankangs suck *** and are too small for the rim. I felt like i was gonna fall off the tire when I took it for a test drive.
Ronnie, up the front pressure to about 37, that might help some of the squishiness up front. It is hard to avoid with no sway bars on the car though.

He isnt going for auto-x, so why do you all have to put his setup down. I know it rides sooooooo much nicer than stock. Ive riden in a car with the exact same setup (which we installed). Not bad at all. Of course there are many many many many other springs that are better, these arent the worst. So just say nice ride, get a camber kit, etc. No need to put down so much.
Enjoy your new suspension, and Id get a camber kit followed by an alignment pretty soon. Just to save your tires
Peace

alright folks here yall go pics of the civic is not much but it will have to do....oh and i love how it rides now. tokico blues and dropzone lowering springs id say are a good combo even tho dropzone isnt a well known and respected brand.
