Question Correct Torque without an air tool?

I'm about to install my new shock and springs, so I bought a Hanyes Honda guide thing. Now would I be able to put the correct torque settings on my bolts with just my strength or do I need to use an air gun or something??? Thanks.

Buy a torque wrench. They have 18" handles. If you can't get them on with that much leverage, you really need to hit the gym. There are very few bolts in the car that need an air wrench to remove.

Ok I have all that, but can I feel how tight they should be with just my own strength? Or should I get an air hammer or whatever and use that to put all my bolts back on? thank you for your help.

when you do your suspension, alot of those things can be tighten by hand untill you feel it is tight. Now dont use a air impact to put any of those bolts back on. An impact has around 150-500+ ft. lbs of torque depending on your model, and some of those bolts have a torque rating of only 40 ft. lbs. You dont want to be putting on those bolts with an impact and killing the threads. You may need an impact to get the crash bolts off though. But you also need pressurized air to do this with a air tool.

don't use air tools to tighten the bolts

i never use torque wrenches unless i am working on motors.....just tighten it by hand, but don't over do it

you can use hand tools, dont leave them loose but dont stress the bolts too much or you'll kill the threads

rijowysock will become famous soon enough
i have a feeling ur gonna overtighten bolts.

overtightening is bad.

u need proper torque

torque wrench clicks when u get the desired torque..

anywho.. yeah i have a feeling ur gonna break like 3 bolts.. and sheer like the bolt on the tie rod.

oh well
