04 civic neuspeed 2" w/ koni shocks

I just want to confrim this, I've seen lots of threads around taking about koni shocks and the 50mm.. 55mm thingy,

I have a 04 : And do the koni use 55mm for the late 03 04 05 models and the 50mm for the 2001 and early 2003 models.. I dont want to measure (to lazy), people with springs and koni shocks with late 03 or 04 models tell me which ones to get..

thanks!

"You've got 2 sizes for koni yellows. 50mm and 55 mm. There is no way of determining which you need by year. You MUST measure the housings of the struts in your car and buy the right ones. Honda mixed them in randomly and there is no other way to tell which ones you need."

My understanding is that the 01's used the 50mm struts. 02 Is where the confusion comes from, as some are 50mm and some are 55mm, From 03+ they all should be the 55mm

Quit being ****in lazy and do it. If you're too lazy to measure it how the hell are gonna install em? It takes literally 10 minutes to stick something up there and measure them.

ok, foundout that the 55mm will work with my 04 suspension... but I have one more question before i buy

should I go with Koni, or Kyb AGX shocks and struts..

wont be racing, and since ill be sitting on a 2" drop ill be careful where i drive

dont care whats better, but will both brands handle a 2" neuspeed drop, and do both have lifetime warrenties.. so choose for me...

"1) Koni yellows - The front struts need to be modified for them to fit. There are a few different sizes (50mm or 55mm). These are probably your best bet for autocrossing or road racing if you don't have full coils.

3) KYB AGX - Adjustable shocks good for lowering and some racing. While konis might be better, these are a good alternative. They are either 4 or 8 way adjustable."

its really not a problem... got a drill press? you can make them fit if they don't.

I got my tokico blues from truehonda, the fronts didn't bolt right up. A few 20 minutes or so of drilling and sizing up the holes, and they worked. A drill press is a must, unless you have a high powered drill and a good vice.
