Would it fit?

a 7thgen oem suspension (oem springs and shocks) fit a gen 2 CRV??? for the new CRV to go low??? wne to a dealer and checked out the suspension on and they bought look the same

any comments? can anybody here removed their 7thgen civic front and rear shocks and replaced them with aftermarket ones? could you post actual pictures of the oem shocks? thanks!

They look very similar but I don't think they will fit.

CRV

It might with some modification, but I don't see why you would want to do that. Are you looking to lower the CRV? If you are then springs and shocks won't work because of the weight difference. You would need to get full coils. It seems like they might be interchangable with some modification. The bolts looks larger on the CRV.

yup planning to lower it, coz my friend back in the philippines tried using a 96-00 shocks and using his 98 CRV springs on his CRV and his car sa so low with a nice ride!!!! maybe it would also work on a 05 CRV

It will sit so low, cuz the added weight. The struts will bottom out all the time, probably on most bumps. I would do it the right way, and buy lowering stuff made specifically for the CRV, and if its not out, there are places to get custom springs made.
