Sway Bar Follow Up Question...

Ok guys,

I dunno if you guys remember or not but I had the ITR 22mm sway that was making the clucking sounds. And I managed to remedy the problem slightly by adding some grease to it. It helped a lot and the sound never came back until now. Its been about a month and now the sound is happening more often. I take at the rear sway and see the grease has like ooozed out. I'm guessing its because the brackets that hold the sway bar in place are too tight. My question is, the sway and bushing came from the company I bought it for, do I need new brackets too?

Thanks!!

im assuming that if the bar came with bushings, they were meant to be used with it. If they were included for it, im pretty sure your stock brackets work. Although, the easy way to find out would be to try them out.

Oh they are already installed, for about a month now. But it looks like the brackets are on too tight, and its squeezing all the grease I applied out of the bushing. When the bushing doesn't have grease and the bar moves when it makes a horrible clunk sound.

My front sway bar has been making a sort of a rubbery squeaking sound when I go over bumps. I'm thinking I don't have the sway bar centered exactly right. Boggie, I would try loosening your brackets up and make sure everything is centered correctly. Could be that the bushing and brackets are not centered exactly and the bracket is 'clunking' against your control arms.
