making coilovers

i gotta question. lotsa pplz have been sayin their goin a coilover route by getting springs, shocks, and coilover sleeves. well, i know u cant juss mix and match them so u gotta get alot of the same items. so, i juss wanna know, have any of u done this before?

thats not really a true coilover...but what your saying many ppl have already done. Koni yellow with eibach ground control coilover sleeves/springs are a typical set, but it still doesn't constitute a true coilover.

^^ our cars allready have "coilovers".... infact any time a spring is mounted around the shock its a "coilover". If you want to see an example of a Non-coilover type suspension, look at the rear suspension on the Ford Focus.

Older BMWs have it, some Vdubs, trucks have it. Just look under the car and you will see the shock and the spring are in different places.
