eibach prokit springs

simple question for anyone who has them, how do they ride compared to factory and to say arospeed coilovers, which is what i have now cause i needed a stiffer spring for the rear with all my sound but i hate how they ride i want something a lil stiffer than factory and about an inch drop at most and cheap, other wise im putting the factory back on and spacers in the rear, any opinions on this or other springs would be great or if this has been talked about in another thread link me but i did'nt see anything right off hand, thanks

I don't have them on my car but I've tried the Eibach Pro-Kit springs. It's a great lowering springs if you want something that's really close like stock ride.

I have the eibachs pro-kit on my 01 coupe lx. The drop wasn't noticable at first but after a month it came down to a two finger gap all around. Yeah I got a system in the back weighs about 25-30 pounds.

When you install springs.. you should get new/better struts as well.

I have the eibach prokit as well and am waiting on my new struts to come in to install it all..

I have prokit. Very good springs as far as better cornering. It's bumpier ride over stock, but I'm already used to that. Drop is great too. For my sedan maybe 2 finger gap in front and 1 in back. I'm on stock struts too for now. I can't say too much about ride quality cause the race seats are causing it more than the springs.

It's definately less bouncy in the rrear, even with stock shocks. It used to bounce alot with stock springs.

Nameless this is what Honda told me..

We will warranty the honda suspension but we will not warranty the spring..

The spring is aftermarket so its your problem but as long as the shock is honda we will honor the warranty until the end

They said its not a small drop that will affect in any way how the strut will work..It will only have less travel..

I called three honda dealers and they all said the same thing..

So im not confusing anyone.

Maybe that is the way they do it in Banana Land but most US dealers could give a **** and would tell you that they aren't warrentied.

I'll let you know what kind of difference they make. I'm putting a set of pro-kit springs around some agx shocks on saturday... so the comparison will be fresh.

Why don't you call and ask. If the part didn't cause the problem then they should warrenty the problem. If they can't prove the part did or didn't, then they are likely to err on the side of not warrentying the problem.

Ill be more specific..

Honda will warranty every honda part ecept engine Mods example Cam gear etc etc if you install that and the engine blows you are not covered..and it makes sense.

Now if you put an aftermarket spring Honda says all the suspension will still be covered except the spring itself...

They lower vehicles all the time they said so its not because a shock has less travel that its gonna blow unless of course your siting on the ground...

Like they said cv joint shoudn't go bad because of lowering etc etc etc ...

Im real happy anyhow

Good luck with that 2 hours thing, man. I started on mine this evening and about 1hr into it I found myself struggling to get the tie rod off the knuckle.
If taking a hammer to your front end pains you, get the motrin ready. I've done this on other cars before, but I'd have to say the Honda has a tight fit.

Are you talking about the bolt that holds the bottom of the strut to the trailing arm?
If so, make sure that you're not trying to unscrew the side that's welded to it
If not, then disregard and use some elbow grease

wow sorry ya'll are having so much trouble, helps if you have the right tools, it took me about 45min ish to do the fronts but i have a cordless impact and i've done it before and the back took me about an hour, but i have more tools than most shops, but i used to work at a shop, i have a tool box that is 6.5 ft tall and 4.5 ft wide and 3 ft deep and its packed, i also have a obd2 snap on microscan, impacts, over 300 sockets screwdrivers, welders, torches, cutting and welding torches, dewalt angle grinder, wire pullers, and just about any specialty tool you need to work on a newer honda or kawasaki motorcycle, and the tech books for them, so if anyone needs some help tech wise or locally gimme a shout

oh ya and the ride is hella lot better than any coilover ive ever messed with, just hope it doesnt start squating in the rear

yeah, I had to loan a tie rod puller from auto zone to get my tie rods out.
I just couldn't bring myself to smack it with a hammer.
