Hey guys, i'm gonna get some 17" wheels and drop my car. I'm being offered B&G springs, and the guy says I will not need new shocks, as long as my factory shocks are good. He also says I do not need a camber kit.

I have a 2004 civic si coupe.. is he crunked up, or will my factory shocks be just fine.. I plan on driving all year round w/the drop..

Please read the suspension FAQ. YOu don't NEED either shocks or a camber kit, but you run the risk of blowing your shocks (ie bad and dangerous ride) and wearing your tires. Either invest in them both and lower correctly or pay the consequences.

werd.........springs put added stress on your stock shocks. Eventually, they are gonna blow. Could be 2 yrs down the road or could be 2 months from now. Also, you need a rear camber kit unless u like buying tires.

just my 2 cents,
camber doesnt kill tires as fast as toe, but this also depends on the drop.
Personally, invest in shocks + camber kits. I did and its well worth it and better ride quality.
