03-05 Tokicos

I just spoke to a rep at Tokico and was told that the 03-05 struts are in development, but no expected release date was given. I'll try to get a hold of my contact there, as opposed to the standard customer service rep, and get more info for everyone. Just thought all those with 03-05 vics who don't feel like drilling struts might be interested.

I didn't ask, but I'll be sure to find out next time I call over there.

They won't sell the Illuminas, they developed the D-Spec for the 7th gen. They won't offer two sets of adjustable shocks for the car when they can get it with the D-Specs.

JCiv03 is on a distinguished road
I wonder if the 03-05 tokicos will just have wider holes and no other changes. I mean, I can understand why it would take so long to develop an identical set of shocks to 01-02 civs if it's just wider holes...

I'd rather have the Illuminas... since they adjust Rebound Only.. rather then Bump and Rebound at the same time... its the difference between a damper designed for performance, and one designed for street comfort.

I know what you mean. Just saying from a marketing point of view, they're moving from a more focused shock like the Illumina to a shock that will cover a wider range of users giving more street comfort and more performance than their HP non-adjustable shocks.

In development? How hard is it to drill a bigger hole? Well actually... maybe they're going to make some kind of reinforcement around them.
