Strut

Got my new NeuSpeed strut installed this weekend. Didn't give me to maney issues. Had to jack the driver side tire off the ground to get it put in though. The biggest issue I had was torugeing down the bolts, wrench was way to big for my socket.. so had to drive down to the local autoparts store to buy a socket reducer.

you should have had the whole front end off the ground for a proper install.

Really? The instructions just said to lift the driver-side up if it didn't fit proper.. errr I think thats what it said.. haha

But after lifting the driver side up.. went on w/o issue.

well... The way I would do it... Lift one side, bolt it down. Lift the other, then bolt that size down. Works like a charm.

Question... Why would you lift the passenger side off the ground when there is no real need to do so? That is interesting and your imput on why would be welcomed.

You know, I read alot of threads where people said Strut Bars ride harder and what not.. I really can not feel to much diffrence in the over all ride. Maybe I need to go out and try cornering at break-neck speeds..

it wont really do much unless you have some other suspension mods. It goes well with sway bars though. If it's your first mod, you wont really feel the difference.

Yea its my first Suspension Mod.. have been thinking of lowering the car about ".75 to "1. The only proplem there is my Greedy Evo 1 Catbac is so dam large that I am afriad of tearing it off while driving down the road from lowering it.

i have the same bar on lowering springs and i felt a difference. not small, not big, just enough to know its better.

i hooked up mine up by jacking up the front of the vehicle. i did have problems fitting the holes onto the bolt slots but took some slack. i raised it high enough so the front wheels are off the ground.

Don't worry about that... My are is lowered over 2 inches and I have no problems. I have a friend who's 7th gen was lowered 4 inches and he had no problem. So, don't worry about that. Just take pot holes nice and slow.
