torque steer
Ever since i installed the rsx sway, neuspeed tower strut, and adjusted the throttle cable, i am getting torque steer?
Which of the three mods is causing this? It def handles better at higher speeds, but the steering sometimes feels neutral at slower speeds.
Am I goin crazy?

Well woudnt the fact that the engine is putting power to the wheels a lot quicker than before, when i press the gas, create torque steer?
When i am making turns i find myself flooring it and the steering wheel just locks into place and turns by itself, where i have to hold it tighter.
How much is alignment at the dealer?

why not? if the pedal is lethargic before and it is hyper sensitive now, why wouldnt slamming on the gas create more stress for the front tires? please explain this to me other than saying "throttle cable wont create tq steer lol."

No, not lethargic, there was a gap in repsonse time between you pressing the pedal and the car acutally realzing it because there was slack, now there is no slack so it cuts down on the cars reaction time. Your not creating any more power from it LOL..

LOL, i didnt say i created more power! I am saying i have made the existing power get to the wheels faster! my front wheels are spinning a lot more than before bro. its about getting the existing power down faster. maybe you can adjust yours real tight for a day to know what i am talking about.

So to fix your problem, think about this. your Steering wheel controls how much gas or brake you can use at any one time. The more you turn the wheel the less gas/brake you can use, with out causing understeer or the problem you are experianceing. Remeber, the throttle is not an on/off switch!! so dont use it as such.

I dont miss my 350z, but i do miss rear wheel drive. this is my first fwd since 1995.
The speed is not that bad! 100mph in a civic is the same as 100mph in a 350z. I need my s2000 already!

well, you can do alot of fun things with a FWD car... it just requires you to drive it differently. Such as, My car oversteers... But for Very different reasons then RWD.

as far as how to react/compensate for when the car is oversteering or understeering...
for oversteer, the two worst things you can do are lift off the throttle or hit the gas (Do both if you really want to spin the car...) To correct for it in a FWD car, you should add in more throttle. (you dont have to floor it, just add a little throttle and the rear end should settle down)
For understeer... You simply need to do less of what you are allready doing... If you are on the gas and the car starts to understeer, ease off the gas. if you are turning hard and the car is understeering, dial out a bit of steering. (you probably entered the turn with too much speed) if you are on the brakes and the car is understeering, ease off the brakes... Simple.
Theres a lot of good books out there that can help you with your driving... one of the best is "Secrets of Solo Racing" good at teaching line and controling the car.
