control arm bolt
control arm bolt
has anyone had the experience with the control arm bolt not going in? one of mine is like half way in and the other one i had to tap hammer and tighten it slower and tap it again.
so heres my question...
i put on 01 ground control coilovers onto my car without knowing that they changed 03-05. so my car (05) the sleeves dont fit for the front so i ordered some sleeves for the front so when i take off the front coilovers im scared that i wont be able to get the bolt back on again. and therefore cannot drive the car. so any ideas of what to do. or what could fix the problem. i duno wat ta do.

Control arm bolts?? you dont need to remove the control arm to install coilovers.... Do you mean the 2 bolts that attach the strut to the knuckle? if one of those goes in and the other doesnt, it means that the knuckle has shifted. Try moving it allong the axis of the bolt that is attached. that should shift it enought to get the other bolt back in. other wise, There is the possiblitiy that the drive shaft has poped out of the knuckle too.. Check that.

if you didn't change the struts
you'll be fine.
Just force it in without damaging it.
You had to force it off/out to take the strut off.
why wouldn't have to force it back in.

That might be a hard one if you have stock wheels or rims that dont let you access it. I can stick a whole socket in my rims.
