D2 locknut keeps comming loose (new problem arose)

my passenger side front lock nut keeps comming loose. THis is espcially after some hard cornering. I tighten them as tight as godly possible (by hand). Maybe its comming loose becuase i use silicone lubricrant spray to lube the ruber contacts that the spring sits on? (that keeps it form tearing like my driver side did, the driver side rubber peices is GONE).

anyway i was looking around at clubrsx.com and came accross the ENDLESS ZEAL RSX
http://www.centraxauto.com.au/Photos...1/car_spec.htm

THey use zip ties at the bottom of the lock nut, Is taht safe to use? would it help??

I also noticed that their springs have a SMALL number of coils. whats up with that? 5 front 4 rear. is ther some kind of advantage to this? Im sure Endless knows what they are doing with suspension, why doesnt other full coilover springs come like this?

Get a friend to hold the wrenches, and tap the bottom one tighter with a hammer.
You could also use Loctite BLUE. Make sure its the Blue kind, because you can un-do it later.

I used your mehtod with the hammer and it works great. Amazing how much more tight it could turn after i tightened by hand as much as i could.

ANYWAY NEW PROBLEM RESULTED:
now when i turn the wheel at low speeds. The spring makes a bing bing bing noise. Like the spring is twisting or something. Could it have to do something with the rubber peice that sits inbetween the spring and the bottom locknut perch?

THe peice on the driver side ripped itself to shreds when i had the bing bing bing noise before (that sides locknut kept comming loose as well, the noise seemed to stop when the rubber destroyed itself and fell off). Now only the passenger side rubber peice remains intact. Maybe i should just remove it?

just the bottom two perch screws? or locknuts? the two things you rotate to move the spring up and down. You use the spanner wrenches to turn them.

After looking at countless other pictures of coilovers, i notice that none of the other onse use a rubber piece inbetween the bottom of the spring and the locknut perch. So im gonna end up cutting mines off becuase its cuasing the spring to twist in a weird way when turning.

the pingning noise is common. I had it on my car for months because I kept fvcking with my coils. It still does it slightly but only sometimes.
It is because the spring is sorta stuck when the wheel turns. It can also come from the lock nuts coming undone. What I did is undid the lock nuts, moved the spring around (sorta jiggled it around), moved the lock nuts only a slight bit and hammered the bitches back into place.
