trimming the bumpstops...
i'm pushing an '02 civic sedan lowered on neuspeed sports and i had my front struts replaced under warranty earlier this year. i was told that honda uses rsx type replacement struts. i just read the guide that came with my springs and i noticed that it mentioned that the rsx requires that the bumpstop be trimmed when using the springs.
when i got my neuspeed sports installed on my sedan i think the mechanic forgot to trim my bumpstops. is this going to be a problem? what can happen if i don't trim my bumpstops?

thanks for the info.
i think my struts are bottoming out sooner now when i go over speedbumps, big dips in the road, or doing sharp turns, because of the shorter spring and longer oem bumpstop. when the weather got cold i think it stiffened the rubber bumpstop and when the strut hits it, it makes an annoying squeaking sound. the sound is sooo annoying.
i blast my music so loud that i've started to get a ringing in my ears. i hope i'm not starting to go deaf.

are you sure its not just the stiffness of the springs?

i noticed you have the exact same car as mine. it's even the same year(i can tell by your wheel covers) i started to notice this squeaking noise when i changed my summer rims to my oem winter rims. do you hear any squeaking noises from your front end when you go over speedbumps or big dips in the road? the squeaking seems to get louder, the colder it gets.
btw: did you ever get your front struts replaced under warranty? i had mine replaced recently and i think they are different from the ones that initially come with the car. i was told that they are the ones they use on the RSX.

well if its squeakin.. its probablly the sway bar bushings, no they arent the same struts as the rsx, the rsx has a larger diameter hole where it meets the steering knuckle, they are similar, but not the same ones, my struts were replaced under warranty.. right before i installed the springs
