Tein SS or Basic
Tein SS or Basic
I wanna know what the big difference between the basic and the ss to justify the $200+ price difference.
also, for those of you whom have either, post up a review including what problems you've had, easy or hard install, quality, perfomance, bang for the buck!

Use the search feature. It is not that hard.

Rob is the lead spokesman for the search button! That search button promoter...
(wonder if he gets some per-click incentive?)
I think the Teins made a world of difference for my ride. Although I don't race or autocross, the ability to adjust the softness/hardness is pretty cool, lets me set the car to my level of comfort.
The only thing that bothers me about the Teins is the front doesn't lower as much as I'd like it too sometimes. But I live with it because I like the ride quality. I'd definitely recommend this suspension.

i have tein ss and i simply love them. By far, one of the best mods i have done. Biggest difference is that the SS have 16 levels of dampening adjustability.

oh, btw.....it took me about 3 hrs to install..............that includes jacking up the car, taking wheels off and back on. Also, my drivers side rear shock, i had to cut off with a air chisel.
theres other choice for you....Tokico D-Spec Adjustable Shock, MSRP starts at $800 for the set. Coming real soon......check HOnda Tuning Mag. pg. 93
or Tein SS run like $1150, Basic $840......

I just got my TEIN basics installed today and like civicvtec01 said...they're probably one of the best mods ever done as of yet. I dont have the SS, but I can definitely say that I gave them a good test drive today and the turns which previously made me nervous at certain speeds, I can take them now even faster now without hesitation or having any worries. Suspension is a very good investment IMO. You can actually drive faster because you have more control over the car instead of the car having control over you. I had only springs and bars on my EG and it seemed ok but lowering springs just dont cut it, especially not on a 7th gen.

I dropped the front kinda low...probably about 2.5 to 2.75" and the rear I adjusted slightly higher to maybe 2.0 to 2.25" and no bounce. You feel the bumps of course but there isnt any bounce. Its pretty stiff and very stable. Actually its a huge relief, I paid for these over a month and a half ago and some problems occurred with my source. I'm just glad that they're finally installed.
