Bent Tie Rod?

Went to a local shop the other week to get my car re-alligned...they said that they couldn't b/c the passenger side tie rod was bent. They couldn't give me an estimate on it, b/c it was an evening appt.

I'm just wondering if anyone knows about how much this is going to run me? I tried checking out the part/s price at Majestic and nothin!

Thanks much!
PS: If you're wondering how I ended up with a bent tie rod, I had a disgreement with a curb and a street sign...I won, but took some damage.

Yea I think the tierod will run you about 80 bux. You might want to bring it to a professional to install it ... looks like a tight space in there.

yuup, unless youre good with those kinds of things, go to mech. For my brother's 93 Civic, it needed a special tool to remove the old one.

yep it cost me around $80 to get a new tie rod from honda...and then u gotta factor in labor...i was told its a 30 minute job so i got charged $30 for labor....but the shop had a hard time finding the part so they didnt' charge me for the labor...in the end it would've cost me the same amount to put the tie rod in myself.
