DIY 1st Trunk Bar in 7th Gen Civic

Weekend project in my car and my friends 2000 SiR. Took us one day to finish both of them.
Fully welded ends. These things are solid!
Haven't tested to see how much of a difference it makes b/c the roads are wet here.
Still 2 more to go to make a triangulated setup like EM Racing.

Link to pics in my Member's Rides section.

nice work.............but i can't believe that there is that much flex in that part of the chassis to need that bar

It's like a strut bar. It ties the weak points in the chassis. Apparently, according to EM Racing, another weak point is the body where the spare tire well is. This bar ties that point. There will also be another bar going accross the trunk floor from this bar to the rear strut bar.

Here is a link to EM Racing's bars.

If you wouldn't mind gtracing, I'd like to see pics too.
You said trunk hatch? Mine is in a coupe and there is nothing for it.
As far as I know, Mr. Alex only has front and rear upper strut bars and a c-pillar bar for the EP Hatch.
I could be wrong though.
But it's still pretty cool that I made one for only $40 total cost.
