Best quality/cost ratio parts to drop my car

I'm seriously looking to drop my car just for the looks, no racing in this puppy. I have an 02 civic si coupe with the 15" alloy wheels, same as the latest sir hatch. I'm not sure how much a drop would be to have about about a 2 inch gap. i don't want to be slammed, maybe 1.5"? Anyways what is are the best valued parts to do this, i want to replace the shocks because mine are blown.

So i'm going to need shocks, do i need springs aswells? I'm totally new at this, do i need struts, coilovers, coils...... i'm not even sure of the difference.

shocks are struts?
springs = coils?

As you can see i have no clue. How much would this run me about installed?

Thanks for the help, i did a search btw but nothing really on just a basic drop.

eeh, search j/k haha

umm.... 1 of the cheapest methods, is Sprint or Maxspeed springs, with Tokico struts, and a camber kit.

Whoa! I just noticed you've been registered longer than I have.....
hmm... just thought you would know by now.... but I shuoldnt assume.

Please read the FAQ!!! We are all going to tell you different opinions and we can't generate a cost/benefit analysis for you because we don't know what you consider to benefits. You have to search, read, learn and then decide.

For a small drop Tein S-Techs, Neuspeed sport, Eibach prokit are good springs. I think the Eibach are only an inch. The Tein and Neuspeeds are around $250 new. I have Teins and they ride pretty much like stock and I'm on stock shocks and it's not slammed but noticably lowered. Camber kit is not a must but definately a good idea, you'll only need them in the rear. Tokico blues are a good stock replacement and I havn't heard too much about KYB GR2's yet. Hope that helps.
