Stock sway bars are hollow?

OK, I know you've seen enough posts on sway bars, but here's a different one. I've been looking at the various front sway bars available (mine has none) and I stumbled onto some web info that leads me to believe the 25.4 bar is hollow (7 lb weight listed in one of the DIYs, several Honda web pages that indicate that the 25.4 bar on the SI is hollow, front RSX bars are hollow also).

Clearly the 15.9 front bar on the 03/04 LX/EX is solid, but what about the 22.2 bar on 02 sedans? I'm guessing it would be hollow. Anyone have one laying around they could weigh (solid it would be roughly 10 lbs, hollow roughly 5)? Or maybe someone with an 02 sedan could take a close look at the end of the bar and see if it looks pinched (hollow)?

The reason for the fuss is that I want to keep my suspension at stock height and somewhat soft for gravel roads, snow, and rough pavement performance, like the subie 2.5RS/WRX. I agree with Zzyzx that body roll isn't a bad thing by itself, and I prefer less sway bar stiffness for driving on dirt/snow. A 22.2 front/17 rear looks like a good combination that won't kill the side-to-side independence of the suspension and should still understeer a bit (I'm no rally driver!) I'm thinking that plus a good alignment and KYBs or Konis should do what I want. The 15.9 looks to small to do much good (with stock springs) and I'd rather have less bar than the 25.4.

Sorry for the long post...

Why would the weight have anything to do with it? If you aren't racing then you aren't really concerned with how well it turns in specific cases, just over all. Hollow vs. solid isn't gonna be that much different with mild other modifications.

You're right, the weight is not really relevant, and solid vs hollow isn't going to be a huge difference in stiffness. I'm just hoping to achieve a certain ride feel, and since there's no other choices, looks like I'll just have to try it to find out.
