And $2k is a little outside my self imposed suspension budget. I'm looking more along the lines of $1-1.5k. Any suggestions?

Tein, JIC, D2, Omni (with different spring rates, IMO), etc.

Just look around, there's PLENTY of good coilovers out there....it just depends upon exactly what you want out of them, how long you plan to use the car, and how much you're willing to spend. Honestly, $2k isn't that bad for one of the most important parts of the car.

Think about it....people spend $3k + on F/I....just to go faster, but aren't willing to spend NEARLY that much on the parts to USE that power, and keep yer car on the ground. Weird IMO.

not to bad i just put my tein flex setup that i had on my coupe onto my new ep3....they are pretty similar to the BC.....ive done it a few times changing out honda suspension that is and it went well and those axles do come out pretty easy just gotta put em right back....with the progress rear swaybar and what not handles better than the coupe did with all of my stuff i had on it.... make sure u take care of all the loose ends please.....tie rod and loose collars are not good then get an alignment make sure the bottom collars are tight especially up front dont need them adjusting themselves up and down from turning with the rest of the front end....
heres a pic of my new toy almost as cool no hfp kit though

Damn, those are fly. Two rings to lock the height are a nice touch. The really big cylinder diameter in the front is nice! The pillow ball is super-nice! The camber adjustment is nice! Dayam! Ok, I want a set. My Hayame's really really suck.
