Help Me piCk
well Im thinking between two setups
1.
Eibach Sportline Springs 1.5inch drop
Koni Yellow
engall camber kit
or
2.
Tein Basic coilovers
engall camber kit
Basically what I want is a dropped ride thats comfortable like stock maybe even better, and I don't want the shocks to blow :-) Which option do you guys think? Or would reccomend something else?

Depends greatly on what you are doing with the car...
If you are planing on doing any autocross or open track, then Konis all the way (thats what Adjustible dampers are for afterall..)
If its for the street, then Tein Basic will probably do quite nicely.
Though Nither will give you a ride like stock... Both will be stiffer (Thanks to Higher spring rates and Better Dampering).

Well if you want to get technical, the Konis can be adjusted to give you a little better traction for launches. But if your not that serious, then the Basics are probably the right choice.

I agree with zzyzx, but also which would you prefer, the ability to adjust your ride height or not? I say go with the konis and sportlines, cause that is what I have. And I love them. I dont really care for adjusting my ride height. I just wanted a nice drop.
im not going to be adusting height...im gonna keep it at 1.5 most likely...its just that idea of blowing shocks...having an uncomfortable ride....and people just told me that if your getting springs and shocks get the Tein since its about the same money, and that the tein will be better than getting seperate shocks and springs

Why not go with Tokico blues (for strut ... instead of the Yellow's).. since it seems like you dont really race much, and use it for everyday driving.
To me it sounds like you just want the drop for the looks (clean with no gap). Tokico blues are way cheaper than Koni Yellows, and the blues are full setup and not inserts in the front, like the Yellows.
So if you just looking to shave off some extra cash ... and dont race your car, even if you go once and a while .. it is just for fun. Then I suggest the Tokico.

Also with a 1.5" drop ... I really dont think it requires a camber kit. I have the Neuspeed sports on .. and I dont have a camber kit and its fine. The back is slightly cambered ... but just enough to give it that sporty clean look.
Not really in need for a camber kit.1.7" + drop .. ok I understand ... anything less is ok.
Although I speak mostly from a cost saving outlook, and the idea of not buying things that aren't a necessity for a car.
For struts, I am running on my stocks (only have 17 000km on the car when I got the drop installed) on my 02 civic si. I now just broke 20 000km and as you can tell dont drive it much. So for my outlook, I am riding right now on my stock struts, until they blow. Then I will replace them, why spend the $$ now when I can wait a year or so ... when the prices for the parts get cheaper.
The driveability is not bad at all on stock struts, especially if your only using it for daily driving and having the drop for looks. I'd save the cash and get the struts later.

And I have a 1.5 drop, and I needed a camber kit in the front and back. When you drop it, you wont be able to correct the camber in the rear, so getting a camber kit will correct it within specs. When I got my lowering springs put on, then went for an alignment, they couldnt get the front nor thye rear back within specs. Its always best to get a camber kit though with any drop, that way you will save your tires.

Koni's require you to modify your stock front struts. You have to drill a hole drain them and use them as containers for the koni yellow inserts.
Here is the link on Honda tuning magazine about installing koni yellows with eibach springs.

Well take a look at my pics ... I have mine dropped 1.7 in the front ... and it is perfectly within spec.
Take a look at the back ... they are camber'd slightly, but only to the point that if you put 3 people in the back seat on the factory ride. It looks the same.
So no my tires aren't going to go ... your just buying something for nothing. Again, look at my pics, front absolutely fine, back rides like stock if you have a full load of people in the back.
