winter driving
I've got the Tein super street dampers. Since i don't have money for a winter beater yet, i'm gonna have to drive my car this winter. I'm gonna raise it all the way up and have a go at it. Will winter do anything to the suspension?? Also i was told i have to adjust the camber when i lower or raise my car, this true??
Thx!

Just use cooper antisieze on the height adjustment areas to prevent rust and seizure. and rinse them off once a week in a wash bay or something.
I am in the same prediciment as you and that is what i am planning on doing.
If you have a camber kit you can adjust the camber when you lower/raise, it will help with premature tire wear

The Threads & Spring Seats wont Rust, I believe the Spring Seats Are Aluminum, and I believe the Threads Are Stainless Steel. The only Thing you need worry about is that green paint chipping Off, if & when that paint comes off then you'll start seeing rust. the rears tend to get more of a beating being so much closer to the ground. just rinse them off and spray some wd (or similar) on them once in a while, thats about all you can do.
Seizure means the salt and whatever junk they thow on the roads during winter will corode the metal causing the spring adjustment collars to lockup (ie you cannot raise or lower the ride height).
Even though parts are made of Aluminum and Stainless Steel, Tein of Japan and Tein of USA highly recommends that you lubricate the height adjustment areas during winter to prevent seizure from happening.
If you do not believe me, email them yourself and ask them the same question you asked above.
Lubing combined with rinsing them off in a wash bay once a week, will keep your suspension in tip top shape.
Mind you even during the summer I rinse them off once a week to get rid of the dirt road tar, and whatever else junk that is caught up in there.
Preventative maintence is the key, just like with other parts of your car.
