difference in stock/lowered ride
Just wondering how much of a difference is there in the ride quality going from stock to aftermarket springs? I have coilovers right now and they suck horribly. I have blown my shocks twice and im tempted to put it back to stock but that is my last resort. Right now im just concerned about ride quality because im afraid my car is going to fall apart if i bottom out anymore. lol. Its just about to drive me crazy and I was needing advice from all. Please any suggestions would be appreciated. I want to know what i can get for a reasonable price. Thanks

My friend was in the same situation... put it back to stock... at least put the stock springs back on with the blown (if not new) shocks. Then save up enough money to buy full coilovers.

If you go springs Eibach, B&G, and Tein are the only ones with a nice ride. Neuspeed, Goldline, Etc. have a stiffer more harsh ride.
Ground Control & Skunk 2 Sleeved Coilovers are the best for sleeved but still give a harsh ride do to the spring rates. If you had adjustable shocks you may beable to smooth them out some.
Best ride with a drop True Coilovers. Best being Tein Basic, Tein SS, and B&G for everyday smooth ride quality. Next Best would be D2, Hayame, and Dropzone. There are lots of other True Coilovers out there Progress, JIC, etc. and I'm sure they would even ride way better than sleeved but there stiffer for the more serious driver (most likely someone who autox's or track races there car).

This setup didnt cost me much. I paid $530 shipped for the konis, and $200 for the springs. I also paid about $270 for the install. SHould have done it all at once so I would have saved on the install though.

..... If you are running OEM shocks with just about any lowering or sport spring you are severly under damping the springs....
Seriously, a car will handle MUCH better on stock springs and performance Shocks Vs Performance springs on OEM shocks.
This also holds true for ride quality.

I had some friends in the back of the car the other day and whenever we'd hit a big bump they'd bash their heads on the roof.
Car looks stupid without a drop but rides like crap with a drop. I'm selling this turd and buying a TSX

They ARE adjustable....
I had Neuspeed Race/Koni Yellow's...and OMG were they nice. Koni's are SOO nice for their adjustability. Soft for DD, and Soft front/stiff rear for racing (AutoX).
Honestly bro...I don't think the Koni's are the problem....if yer expecting the car to ride like a friggin' Caddy....yer SADLY mistaken.
Go get yer TSX with yer damn double wishbone front set-up....lol....bastad...
