you don't need em neccessarily....but most people will tell you get them because of how "HARSH" the ride is but it's not so bad really then people make it seem. IM on GC coilvers and im A-Okay.......but yea there gonna blow oh well.
i have skunk2 coilovers on oem shocks on my 03 if it matters?
like others said, dont NEED them but highly recommend you do. i beleive mine hasnt been blown (yet... *knocks on wood*). the city i live in have pretty rough roads but i drive real careful around the city.

I've had skunk 2 coilovers for about a year now on stock shocks and the ride isn't that bad and I have it lowered all the way. You WILL need a camber kit, tires worn to nothing in less than a year. Got the spc kit and love it so far with pirelli p3000. Reguardless of what shock you get, it'll blow if your lower than 2.5" over time. I'm looking into the omni full set up that's out now, but waiting for more feedback on them.
