Coilover vs. Springs * Differences

Ok guys this is going to sound sooo stupid....but whats the difference. I mean I saw a pair of dropzone coilovers for like 100 on ebay and springs are at least that. So whats the advantages/disatvantages? I mean, it sounds to me like these coilovers would be the way to go cause you can adjust the exact height you want?? Right? Is that the only difference? Cause with springs you just install and hope for the best.

I got screwed cause tein springs for a sedan gotta be wrong....way too low...tire tucked all the way and thats on stock. So I cut the rear springs and now with the new rims and tires if i get a lot of body roll the tire can rub.

Anyway, I was think of just getting some cheap coilovers for the rear so I can adjust them. The front with the tein springs are prefect.

Thanks for the help.

Coilovers give you the ability to corner weight the car...

and the biggest problem people have with the cheeper coilovers out there, arnt because of the coilover.... Its because they run them on OEM shocks.

Little known fact..... a car will handle better on Stock springs with Performance shocks Vs Performance springs on OEM shocks.

I'm a huge fan of the FAQ, and I know there's a thread with basically the same title floating around. So why not give the search button a test?
