adjust camber yourself?
i got an alignment done at stupid sears and they didn't touch the camber on the back wheels. my driver side one is fine (-.4), the passenger is like -1.9 degrees. and i had a camber kit on there.
should i do it myself? what should be done? i obviously only need to tweek it a little, want it at about 1 degree or at least no visual camber problem. by changing that, will it give me toe and caster changes too? want some good opinions before i crack open that can of worms

If you have a gauge then you can DIY it. I do my own camber (plates in the front, UCAs in the back), then let the alignment shop deal with the toe. Caster is not adjustable, in the rear, camber changes might cause minor changes to the toe, but nothing significant or out of spec. If you paid for them to align all 4 wheels, then go back and make them do it.

my toe in the back is .04 on both sides right now. if i just oh so slightly change the camber (get it within -1.5 deg) should i be ok? i don't want to go back for another alignment...

If you are reducing camber, that should give you more Toe adjustment... so You should be fine....
I dont see how the tech couldn't get the toe to 0 on your car...
I have an 01 EX with Eibach sportlines (konis too) and I have -2.3 Deg on the rear (-2.5 on the front), I still have 0 toe....

ok now i have a new problem. i got my exhaust fixed and the tech there said the ball joints are shot on the driver side (the popping should have been a clue). i look through the tech notes from my alignment and they circled stuff about "perceptible wear". should they have told me about this before i got the alignment done? because i know bad ball joints mean the car can't hold an alignment. i want the car suspension right so i'll pay the money to get worn parts fixed, but i don't want to waste $60 on an extra alignment that would have been avoided if the ball joints were just replaced. do i have a grief here?

they'll tell him "we can only give you an alignment for the factory/oem settings"
there's no camber bolts on stock civics, so they won't touch it. That's the crap they threw at me. and I have a 1" drop too, so afterwards the steering wheel was even more crooked than when i brought it in. since i agreed to their statement hoping that my wheel would get straight hopefully, i could not get a refund afterwards.
I brought my car to a smaller Goodyear shop and they did it old turntable style, not problems, no drifting to the side while driving, no crooked steering wheel, etc. Don't trust the big stores/places.
