H&R or Neuspeed?
H&R or Neuspeed?
I'm going to buy two sets of springs for two 2001 civics. One coupe one sedan. So far the H&R sport are $20 more than the Neuspeed sprot. They will also be on stock shocks. What is the better choice? Is a camber kit required for such a baby drop? I'm going more for ride quality as these cars don't get beat on or raced. Thanks for any help, Chris.

I know you are new, but search around first, this all has been covered so many times before. A camber kit will be a good investment because it will save your tires. I have a 1.5 drop and I have a front and rear camber kit. I say go with the eibach sportlines. I have them and like them. Your shocks will last depending on how you drive. I upgraded to konis and it is a way better ride.

its hard to compare the two..
h&r is only 1.3" while neuspeed sport is 1.75"
and yes h&r's werent made for sedans. if you put them on a sedan the rears going to be a lot lower than the front. neuspeed makes both coupe and sedan versions.
but yeah the h&r's will ride better but only because the drop isnt as low. but then i say why spend $200 to lower your car when you cant even tell its lowered. my friends could barely even tell that my car was lowered when i had neuspeed sports

i thought the H&R sports give a 2" drop on coupe's??
this is from a website that sells them:
Part # Description Drop F Drop R
51866 01-04 Honda Civic (exc. 4Dr ex) 1.3" 1.3"
51866-2 02-04 Honda Civic Si 2.0" 2.0"
50148 02-04 Acura RSX 1.4" 1.3"
is that accurate?

its says for the civic SI its 2" but for the coupe app its 1.3".
There is no sedan app, well the coupe or si will fit but that doesnt mean the drop will look right
h&r had race springs that were around 1.75-2" but it was discontinued cause there was something wrong with them or something

H&R's application guide specifically says it's NOT for the EX sedan. IMO it's not for ANY 7thgen sedan - the rear is just way too soft, and you're gonna sag quite noticably.

can my stock shocks handle that?
yea...i been lookin into the neuspeed sports...from what iv seen, the drop on a 2004 civic coupe SI, is 1.5" (not sure...am i right on that?)
thats perfect...especially with stock shocks. itll look nice and low, and it wont destroy my stock shocks in a couple months. decent priceing too.

personally i like my neuspeeds but some dudes like my friend Vnlil' dont stop till its slammed....lol....man if only i could do that in NY...Neuspeed sports on a sedan are great i got em with the tokico hp's....nice ride......jus listen to Vnlil' the dude is a suspension guru...
I have H&R with tokico and the ride is pretty soft (comfortable compare to hayame). If I can choose again I will go with Neuspeed b/c it isn't low enough. Since you are at it you should get tokico HP along with your springs to save time and money in the long run (b/c most likely your stock shocks won't last long with neuspeed)
Sometimes, I can see right through myself ...

Why doesn't anybody like the Goldlines? I've got a set on my car and I haven't had a single problem. The car has a perfect drop honestly. One thing I didn't like, is that just like everybody else, I blew the shocks.

Hey Premium Plus, are you driving the Canadian Si (coupe equivalent to American EX) or the American Si (hatch, Canadian version is SiR)? We seem to have a teensy bit of confusion here.
