Just want to double check before I buy
Just want to double check before I buy
I'm actually making this post for a friend, he has a 2001 civic 4door LX, and we're getting neuspeed sport, spc rear camber kit and 17 x7in wheels with 215/45/17s this is correct for tire size to keep the odometer matched closely right? And also this setup will keep from rubbing correct? He's just gonna ride it till it blows his stock struts, but for what it's worth this is a decent setup correct?

I have Neuspeed Sports and have been on stock shocks for over 2 years now, just drive carefully. 215/45/17's will probably be closest to the odometer rating. It may even put less miles on your odometer than what is actual. I had 205/40/17 and its off by 4%, so if I'm correct, for every 1000 miles there are 40 miles that show up that shouldn't be there, thats why I bought some new tires to put onto my steelies (195/65/15) so I can try to cheat the system and put more miles on my car and have it show up less. Anyway, my friend had the setup you're doing and he says that sometimes when he turns, the rears will rub the fenders (he has SPC camber kit too) I say just go with 205/45 or 215/40 and it'll be cool. Your odo won't be off by that much.

Yeah, I think so... I'm not an expert on this, but since 19's are larger than OEM size they'll take less revolutions per mile, thus less mileage. Imagine those Mexican cars with the little lowrider 10000000 spoke rims and how many times they'll spin. They're smaller and spin faster, meaning there's probably a bagillion more miles on their car than actual. Somebody back me up on this, am I right or am I wrong?
Yes, it's an Acura EL

Well, it depends what the OVERALL circumference of the wheel/tire is. If your stock size is 185/65/15, IDEALLY you would want a 215/35/19 tire (does that exist?). Even then, your speedo will be 1.93% too slow, according to our handy dandy tire calc.

Did you guys read? He asked about 17's not 19's.
Yes, 215/45/17 is what you want. I have Eibach prokit on mine and my wheels are the same as yours but 7.5" wide and no rubbing at all. However, my drop was only a settled drop of 1.24".

So it rubs the rear fender? or the inside fender liner? Can I roll the fenders?? Rolling the fenders isn't a problem, I did it on my Cavalier with air ride. But is tat where it rubs?
