i have an 03 coupe lx. i just put on rims yesterday ( 17" Motegi mr7's with 215/45/17 tires ). I havn't even touched the suspension or anything yet but it seems that the rear is lower than the front. It looks like my car is already lowered but just in the back (the front looks normal stock height). Now i have sprint 2" springs in the garage planning to put it on, but now i'm thinking twice about putting them on, im afraid that the rear myte rub. Does this happen to every1's civic? Should i just lower the front only or get a new set with less drop? Also, the left rear is a little lower that the right rear. I can fit 3 fingers in the right and only 2 on the left. what is up?

Left will be lower than the right cause the engine is on that side. It's like that on all EM and ES Civics.
As for the rear sag, are you sure you haven't been fooled by the fact that the rear wheelwell is lower than the front? Measure ground clearance from the rear and front side jack points. Unless there's a huge difference (like an inch or so) then I'd say you're OK. If you put new springs on, you're totally changing the stance of the car, but you won't rub in the rear unless you drop it WAY more than 2".
Don't just lower one end. Springs are generally designed to work as a set. Playing around with spring sets if you don't know what you're doing could really hurt your handling. If you're really paranoid about it (needlessly IMO) then just get another set, with less drop, like the H&R or Neuspeed Sports. Frankly with 2" drop you're gonna need a new set of shocks fairly soon.

Don't forget that with a 2" drop comes some serious camber. Up to you if you wanna correct it. Put it this way - I dropped around 2" in the rear with my old spring setup. Tucked my 205/40/17's in there. There was a tiny bit of room, but without that camber, i wouldn't be rubbing - i'd be chewing fender.
Reytito may be right - I totally didn't notice you're runnin 215/45. You're really close to fender at that point.

i'm on 16"s but lowered 2.25 in the rear. its tucked about a centimeter or so. i'm running a 205/50 and it rubbed like madd before i rolled them...in the rain mind you.

that is strange i would have that checked out.. cause when i had 18 inch rims (215 tires) the gap in the rear and front was like a 7 finger gap.. thats why i had to lower it..
