I'm thinking of purchasing Tein basics for my car. I know everyone says to purchase 01 bushings/bearings, and I understand why from alot of forum reading. My question is why doesn't anyone purchase the green color tophat mounts for the teins which are made to work with the 02/03 top hats/ upper mounts. The gold color ones that come with the sets I see on the board are made for the 01, so your purchasing the bearing for the mount, instead of purchasing the mount for the bearing. I noticed this when I was pre reading the instructions online from Tein. Are the green top hats hard to get? Can I order my set from any online vendors of this site with the green top hats instead of the gold??
Not like the bearings are expensive to switch and I know you can reuse the existing upper mounts from the 02 along with the gold top hats from Tein for 01 style bearings, but if the green top hats are available I would rather keep the newer bearing design of the 02 and purchase the tophats from Tein made for use with the existing 02 bearings.
