Rep Power: 423 Its a metal on metal surface. They rub together, and Tein probably doesn't use as tight a tolerance or surface finish that isn't as smooth as Jic, Buddy Club or some of the others, so it has some wiggle room and makes noise. The JICs don't require you to drill the hood supports to get them to fit. If you consider that better fit, then I guess so. What's your main racing purpose for buying these?

Rep Power: 423 Yeah, JICs and Flexes aren't going to ride to well on anything but the best pavement. 560 lb springs will do that to you. Its not entirely a race system, but its pretty damn close. If all you're doing is driving, stick to something tuned for the street.

Rep Power: 0 ok THanks you guys here is how I a thought about. I like the Jic and Flexes because they are full lentgh adjustable were as the ss are not . When yo lower the spring you lower the travel of the strut causing it to not work as well so in thought flexes anfd jic would be better. But as you haved stated and i have read they both have stiff springs so is it possible to get jic with a custom spring rate or not.
My choices are hayames, ss or flexes or jic and i dont really like the ss cause i need a new upper mount. But maybe tien is better product then hayame and there not on backorder. Price is not really an issue i just want a good coilover.

Rep Power: 423 You can get custom JICs (called FLT A2 RS)... Plan on paying $400 more than standard to get them though. If all you're doing is street driving and not gung ho about driving around in what effectively becomes a streetable race car, then don't bother with stiff stuff.

Rep Power: 412 It sounds like the FLTA-1 would be a good choice for you but unfortunately, JIC doesn't make that for the EP3. You might want to consider the KWs also. you can get custom spring rates, but you will have to pay for them. Either you can preorder them with weaker spring rates or you can order and extra set of springs. Either way, it will cost ya. I personaly don't think you need the adjustability of JIC or Flex because you aren't going to be racing all that much. I still would stick with the SS or the KW V2.
