Best Springs for stock shocks?
Ok, I have searhed and searched and i want to hear from the guys who have actually been running drop springs with stock struts for a while now.
What spring are you running and how do you like them on the stock struts/shocks?
The ones I have in mind are:
Eibach Prokit
Tein S. tech
Tein H.
Eibach Sportlines
H&R
More susggestion are welcome.
p.s. I do not want a full coil over system or sleeved coilovers at this time, thanks for the help.

I would have to say eibach, either the prokit or the sportlines. I had mine on there for about 4 months, and when I took my stock shocks off, they felt brand new.

Eibach Prokit is designed for stock struts/shocks. I think H&R's are also. When I had my stock struts/shocks with my Sportlines, the ride was good but bouncy except on smooth roads.
Keep in mind that our generation Civic is bouncy by nature. Watch any stock Civic ride down the highway and it'll be bouncing more then most other cars.

I am leaning toward three as of right now..in no particular order:
1) Prokit
2) H&R
3) Tein High Tech
I can not find one single person with the High Techs though!
Thanks for the info. guys...keep it coming.

If you are looking for a really well handling suspension set up heres what I have.
1. Eibach springs (not sure if they were the pro kit or sportlines, they were on the car when I bought it new)
2. 03+ Civic Ex front anti-roll bar (16mm vs my 01s 25.4mm)
3. RSX 19mm rear anti-roll bar.
the car is Very fun to drive and very tossable, and because of the 19mm rear bar rather then a 22mm rear bar, the car is still stable in High speed corners. Its even more fun when I have My Falken Azenis on
only thing I'm missing now is Shocks.

All RSXs have 19mm rear bars.

Honda-tech?
Or even this site?
Or even the dealer? I think some dealerships were letting them go for cheap, too.

some aftermarket springs you can cut a dead coil off of to make it lower. It won't hurt the spring. Neuspeed recommends it for some of their springs.

Also, some springs are sensitive to heat, so you must make sure that your using the proper cutting method and not heat up the spring.
I'm considering the spring switch too, and am wondering about the stock spring issue too. The konis are a little steep. If stock shocks can hold up I think I go with the teins. Still don't quite get the deal with the coil over sleeves.

read the suspension FAQ in my sig. Sleeves are adjustable springs. They can give a bouncy ride because you are on stock shocks. If you get sleeves then GC of Skunk2 are the ones to get but I would get Konis to go with them. Full coils are an easier swap.
bobbyd - are you gonna be putting larger wheels on your car? if so, i would go with the s techs over the h techs because they will be slightly lower. i think that the h techs are made for luxury cars, not sport compact??? does anyone know if this is the case?

Can't wait til summer!
