Tien Or Hayames? And Best Price?
Spring is coming and I am ready to put back on my rims and the lowered suspension. I put it back to stock for the winter. I am running 18's and nuespeed race springs now. Looking for a better ride quality this summer. So what would you upgrade to. I have asked this before but it seems like there are allot of options out there now.
It seems like the suspension of choice is the tien or hayame. Besides the hayame being $200 cheaper than the basic kit what are the benefits of both, how do they compare. Also who has the best deal in town.
one last question: If I decide to go Tien, what is the big difference between the basic kit and the next step up?
Thanks

Dude, make your sig smaller!!!
It depends on what you want to do with your ride. If you plan on racing it, i suggest getting the teins. But people have seemed to love their hayames. but reliability is still yet to be seen. Tein SS provides you with adjustable dampening compared to the basic.

Companies are always trying to come out with a quality product that will last and be worth the money, unless your APC.

Pillow ball upper mounts are great! But only for performance handling.
Normally the upper mount is Cushioned, by either Rubber (Stock) or polyurethane, this allows for the upper mount to flex, altering the gerometry of the suspension. This is bad for handling but good for making a soft/comfortable ride. A pillow Ball upper, has no Cushining, which allows for no deflection in the upper mount of the suspension, thus improving handling. the down side is that there is no cushining, so ride quality deteriorates.
I would say, only get them if you are REALLY in to performance handling over ride comfort.

teins DO NOT come will pillowballs! Only the Flex comes with pillowballs.
Tein has two options for our car
Tein Basic - NO ADJUSTABLE DAMPENING
Tein SS - ADJUSTABLE DAMPENING
pillowballs have NOTHING to do with dampening.
