Question Problems with Leaking OEM Shocks?

Has anyone had any problems with leaking shocks? I have a 02 Civic LX coupe with factory shocks, and springs. I just recently had to replace the front two shocks and it was covered under warranty. My car only has 32,000 km approx. 20,000 miles and I don't drive it that hard. The roads here in Calgary, Alberta are not too bad I guess...could be worse.

I was just wondering if anyone has had the same problems?

Thanks for your input!

did you read the thread that says 2k1 suspension replaced? Maybe you got some of those shocks/springs even though you are an 02.

well **** happens. Take it to the dealer if it is under warrenty. If not, get some new OEMs or if you want to stick with stock springs KYB GR-2's might be worth looking into.

my GF has the exact same car and at 40,000km she's already blown her 2nd set of factory shocks.

We're going with konis this time

damn I have eibach springs with stock shocks at 58000 miles and mine are still good. I can tell though that they are getting weak. Car still rides well, but I am saving money to get konis or tokico if they come out really soon.

Hehe, I got my second set of shocks on Feb 6 (the first set was leaky and I didn't realize)... and they blew on Feb 8 from my driving on a normal road at speed limit... and then the dealership told me that it's normal for the shocks to squeak... and plus I got busy with work and couldn't go freak out on them... but will get my third set this upcoming week... hmm, i could swear there's a lemon law somewhere...

I've gone through 3 sets since I got the car in Nov, 2001. I got the '04s in it before the '04 even went out on the lots..haha. Honda sent me some appology letter with $100 to spend at any dealership..haha.

Damn - well my 2K1 has been riding like hell for some time now , changing the oil yesterday I noticed the driver side strut leaking. Of course my car has over 87,000 miles! What is a good non-Honda replacement strut?

Koni, KYB, Tokico ( if they ever come out), pretty much any shock that doesnt say honda on it. You can also find monrow shocks at every shop.
